Seems to me that around 4 until 6pm my kids are out of the box...especially if they cannot go outside. They seem very rambuctious. They also have a very quick trigger: they can emotionall melt down or have a hunger switch pressed at any given moment. Part of it has to do with them just waking up from naps and have the energy to burn, and another part of it is we do eat later than most! My kids are definitely morning kids. They are up early and raring to go first crack of sunlight if not before!

I'd have to say between 4 and 6, also. If there is going to be a meltdown, that is when it will happen.

I agree with 4 to 6 for my boys. I think it used to be associated with the anticipation of DH coming home from work. Now, he works from home. So, I don't notice it as much. But, for Emily is has to be from suppertime (when I enter the kitchen to cook) until bedtime. She fusses a lot in the evening and always has. I've tried adjusting naptimes, etc. and iit doesn't seem to impact her mood. I'm hoping she outgrows it soon!

Early morning is the worst for us. DD hates to get up early for school.

Mornings are slow for us. My kids are up early, but they like to watch certain shows on Playhouse Disney before having breakfast. That time during the day is typically the ONLY time they watch TV. We'll have to work on this come this fall. Othwerise I have NO IDEA how we will ever get my son to school on time!

The worst time of day is most certainly evening hours for my 10 month old. If dinner is served to late she won't eat, just swats at the spoon and sit at the table and cries while we are trying to eat dinner. "to late" depends on how tired she has become, not set time for this to happen! She takes two naps a day, but on some especially active days, she is beat by 5:30 pm.

My 2 yr old however sometimes wakes up in a bad mood. I can always tell the day is going to start out fun when I take her out of the crib and stand her on the floor and she drops onto the floor and starts crying for a reason I just don't understand. Makes me want to turn around and walk away. Then my youngest starts crying. Not a good way to wake up!!!

Supper time is an absolute nightmare at our house. My 4yr old that should've taken a nap, didn't. She pesters the baby to death and then everyone is screaming while I'm trying to cook.

4:30 to 6:30 when its time to eat. The moment I walk in the kitchen to prepare dinner they are all of the sudden starving and what more snacks (even though I give them a snack at 4:00) Oh and its not just my boys its the daycare boys as well. Thankfully they usually leave by 5:30!

This is my house! It's like this pretty much everyday here.
