We have been teaching manners to our now 2 yr old since she could talk. She says please and thank you. If she burps or passes gas she says "excuse me". You wouldn't think that would be a problem would you, but it turned out to be one for me! We were at toddler gymnastics the other day (thankfully there were only two other mothers there, since the weather was not great) and I accidently passed gas, hoping that no one would notice.......well Em yells out "E-X-C-U-S-E Mama!"

Oh, take a deep breathe and laugh. At least you know that manners are sinking into your 2 yr old. That is just too funny. I know if that was me I would be beet red the rest of the day. It happens, don't worry laugh

It backfired!! LOL!! I would have been so embarrased but at least you know those manners have sunk in!!
