OK you would think after doing this 3 other times I could get it right but, I have a problem I remember someone posting this as a problem on the other board but I missed any solutions. so if my ds who turned 2 in April is naked he will go potty on the potty but if you put underware on him he goes where he stands, sits or lays. He stays dry during naps and usually throught the night but I don't know what to do ...Anybody have any suggestions?

Red face Cheerios for Target practice

My son is now 11 so I'm trying to remember.

I was a single parent so I really had to make it a habit to ask him and take him to the potty every hour just in case and then let him "sit" there until he felt a "tickle" like he need to go.

This helped him to recognize the "tickle" and associated with the toilet.

Also using cheerios for target practice was helpful.

Okay I am one who did every potty training known to man with ds. hE too would only potty when naked so that's what he did. I know it seems a little back woods. But it's a primal thing. I would just leave him bare bottomed around the house pull up for sleep and outings. Then after we went through a while with out cleaning up puddles we started wearing underwear. Plastic over top for outings. After he had a drink we would wait about 20 minutes and ask him if he had to go.Don't nag or thay will regress. I told him over and over if you have to go you say " mommy I have to go potty". and I had him repeat me. It is not a fast thing All and all it took a good year to be completly potty trained. Each one is different. Good luck. I honestly think it was the most frustrating part of parenting yet.

No suggestions, but you are not alone. It has been so hard potty training my boy and we are still trying. He is 3 1/2. Good Luck.....
