UGH! I know what you are going through! Brandon will turn 4 the first week in June, and has been a monster since we had Tommy. It gets worse every day. I keep hoping this is the peak and it is about to go down hill. I think it has to do with the fact he has figured out how to push people's buttons and likes the reaction he gets.

I'm late replying to this but my daughter is the same way. Her behavior stresses me out. She does all the things you mentioned plus won't entertain herself for 5 minutes. She just sits around and waits for me to be available to entertain her ... then she acts like a stinker when I'm trying to do something with her. It is painful.

Yeah, I went through that stage with my now 5yr old and let me tell you I couldn't wait for that 5th b-day!! He was such a smart-ass, back talking, I'm not doing anything you say little boy. I couldn't believe the change in him. I thought a the terrible two's and trying three's were something but they had nothing on the 4yr old stage. At least at 5 he can better control his emotions, if he talks back he knows he is going straight to time out and actually hasn't been there in months. And the last time he went to time out he went there himself because he knew he was wrong right away and I didn't even have the chance to tell him he was going as I came in the room and he was already sitting on the stairs. It will get better!
