You know those Preschool work books you can find at the dollar store or Walmart that have exercises in them for preschoolers? Have you ever picked one up for your child? Do they like them? Are they too challenging? Do they wizz right through them?

I am always picking up those books for the kids. My oldest loves it. And now Brooklyn is starting to get into writing and stuff. Right now I go print off worksheets for Ashlynn after school to do. She has to do a one page exercise after school before she can go play.
It always did seem that they would wiz through them and that is why I started doing the online worksheets.

I have found a lot of free online work sheets, the kids seem to enjoy them.

Riley had two for the summer before he started kindergarten. He asked for them...and called them his "homework". LOL He did well with them...and although I didn't push him at all, he finished both of them before school started (they were the BIG ones).

We have tons of them but I hardly ever use them. They are mainly boring "busy" work. Some kids really love it, my kids call it their paperwork! LOL cuz when I do bills, etc I tell them I have to do my paperwork so we will sit at the table together.

There are so many great free sites thought you really shouldn't buy the workbooks. ENCHANTED LEARNING SOFTWARE HOME PAGE is great!

I loved them for my kids.I still buy them for my son in first grade.I started them out on the pre-k ones. Some they wizz through if they know it but I am happy they know it so no problem there and some they needed help with.Doing them gave me more creative ideas,We did more coloring and cutting out shapes with colored papper so I was always busy with them daily doing it.I didn't let them do to much each day or they would get burned out and I always wanted to make it fun for them to learn so they would stick to it.

I have heard they do have stuff you can print out now online.I never looked for it.We have a school supply store for teachers here that is reasonable and I go there and get them and pick up all kinds of neat things the school room would have and we do projects and lots of flash cards.Love them! They have them for shapes, letters, numbers all kinds of fun things.
