We have a free program thorough our school sytsem too. It is for 3 & 4 yr. olds adn is half a day 5 days a week. I really like it for the 4 year olds(pre-K) but I think that might be too much for a 3 yr.old.

We use the ECFE program through our school system. This year for 3 yr olds I pay $56 a month for 2 mornings a week. Next year it will be income based and I will pay $60 for 3 mornings a week.

You will be paying what I paid this year - $65 a month for 3 days at 2 1/2 hours per day. Next year the price has gone up to $70 a month. They gave me a paper for scholarship program that I am going to apply for. It doesn't pay the whole tuition but will pay some of it. You have to do 10 hours of community service at the library or at preschool so I won't mind doing that. I do think it's a reasonable price.

I had two children going to a Monestori (SP??) preschool over a year ago. Although it was wonderful everything they learned and did, it was costing me over $1200.00 per month. Granted this was full time 7-4, but it was still outrageous. My other choice was to send them back to home daycares, but I had never been really impressed with. Since than, I have become a stay at home mom. This year my 5-year old will start Kindergarten, in our district, they go M-TH, 8-3. My 4-year old was devasted to find out that he was not going to be get to go to kindergarten with his brother. So i found him a pre-k school. He will go two days a week, 8-3. It will cost me $153.00 per month for him. I think it is worth it so he can go to school to plus it is a christian academy so he will learn more about God.

They have free programs through the school district, but you have to qualify for them. They are for kids with speech problems, behavioir problems or kids that need the extra help.
DD will be 4 in June. She will just have 1 yr of preschool. I didn't think she needed two years. She is very smart. We do playgroup, so she doesn't need much help with social issues.

DD is going to a church preschool now. This year I am paying $80/month for 2 half days in the 2yr old program and next year I will pay $90/month for 3 half days in the 3yr old program. The next year she will go to pre-k 5 full days for free.

We live in central Florida. My dd, who will turn 3 in June, goes to a montessori school 3 days a week for 3 hours a day and it is 410.00 per month. I think it is very expensive. I just checked into one of the private schools here, 1/2 day kindergarten is 6k a year. Hope she will learing something!!!!!!!!!

We have free programs in our school district to, but there is a list of things you have to be and we are no where close. I send my son and daughter to a Mother's Day Out Program. It is $14 a day for my daughter and a flat $100 a month for my son. It is very reasonable for this area.

This year is $130 a month for 2 mornings (8:30-11:30) per week. My daughter just turned 4 years old. Next year we're sending her for 5 mornings a week/$300 a month. This is for Montessori preschool. The teachers & staff are awesome. She is doing phenomenol. We looked at a few other preschool options before selecting this school. The schools were about the same in price. The other schools were full day but they took a nap or queit time for 2 hours. I would rather my daughter come home 1/2 day then lay on the cold tile floor on a mat.

My son goes to Catholic school ( they have a preschool) and we pay tuition in full at the beginning of the year. It was $1875 for three mornings a week and that works out to about $208 a month.

Kindergarten, which is 5 mornings a week, will be about $2400 a year. It's expensive but I want to keep my kids in the same school as long as I can. I switched from public elementary school and went to Catholic high school and it was very hard. I didn't know anybody and all the other girls had been friends since Kindergarten.

So both my kids will go to the same Catholic school until 8h grade and then we'll have to choose a Catholic high school. We have two here, but I'm not from this area and don't know much about either one. But that's a ways off.
