My dd will be starting preschool next week. In her class this year is my cousin- who should be in kindergarten this year- but is not since she did not do very well in preschool last year. Anyways- for the most part- my dd is on the young side for school (turned 4 yesterday) and I have questions on if it is a good idea if they are in the same class together- my cousin is a "change of life baby" and is spoiled- she tries to be bossy with my dd- but one nice thing is that my dd does not tolerate it.

So tonight my mom suggested that I ask the teacher if I can switch my dd's class if my cousin is for sure in her classroom and to discus it with them. Personally- I don't want to switch the class (Since I perfer mornings than afternoons!) but if it interferes with her learing- I would perfer not to go through it.

Should I suck it up and switch classes?

I would talk to the teacher b4 school starts if possible. She can keep and eye out and let u know how it is going. if it is a problem then u can go from there.

I agree with allgirls. Give the teacher a heads up. Lots of times, kids act differently in the school setting though.

I agree give the teacher the heads up. You know there will be all sorts of kids in the class you just happen to know about this one because of him being family.

I agree talk with the teacher! I know when my girls were in Prek there were 2 tables they all sat at! and they had specific seating!! if they do that maybe you can have the teacher keep them seperated!! That will helpyou out with not having to change the times!!
But like the others said the best thing would be to talk to the teacher!!
