My 4 year old is starting a moms day out program on Tuesday! It's only 2 days a week from 9:30 to 2:30, but he's never really been away from home during the day before. Last year I don't think I would have done it for separation issues, but this year I think he'll be ok!

Anyway, I want to make the day special! He's pretty excited about it already, but there have been a few changes in the household recently with a new baby (almost 2 weeks old now) and now he's starting school.

I was hoping for some ideas to make it special!

I was planning on taking his picture before he goes for sure, but wasn't sure what else I could do! Oh, I was thinking about making a small cake (or cookie cake or something) to celebrate when he gets home! I could tell him he has a surprise waiting! But what else??

Do you all have any ideas??

Definitely put a sweet note in his lunchbox!

I did this with my dd! I got her a nice neckale and kissed it (so did the rest of the family)
and when she missed us she could hold it!! She still has this and is going into 2nd grade!!
