Dr Suess books are great fun to read out loud!

Dr Seuss fan here as well! My husband and I will also read out loud from whatever grownup novels we're reading--at 3 years old my son will sit still for at least one chapter before he asks for a picture book. His vocabulary is off the charts; I credit both the "adult" reading and my incessant rambling!

Loved Dr. Suess, Audrey Wood and Daniel Kirk. When my kids got a little older, we loved to read anything by David Wisniewski - he has a great sense of humor.

DS loves Jane Cabrera books. They have nice vibrant pretty pictures and are simple enough that he can read them almost on his own after a few times.
