ok, I just have to say that I'm sooooooo soooooo there with this conversation! I have laughed my head off b/c I can relate! I am currently potty training my 2 year old son and have successfully trained my 3 year old son. We are having good and bad days at this point. I don't have any answers, but can share what has worked well with me...
Basically, I try to keep myself at home as much as possible, and I do only a t-shirt (just bare butt). As we have accidents, I just quickly take him to the potty chair and try to be positive. He soon started running to the bathroom all by himself and attempting to pee in it. Of course he is missing and first insisted on sitting. Now that he got the pee thing down, he is trying to stand and again...missing all over the place!!!! He poops sometimes in the pot. Soooo, now that I have the bare butt thing going well, I'm trying to have him in a shirt and underwear. Hopefully, by the time it starts getting cold, he will only be in diapers when he sleeps. So yep, accidents alot, but it seems to be a learning curve.
Yes, I reward him w/ Pez... oh, it seems the more I remind him to go, the more we have stubborness and problems..

ds is 2 1/2 and has no interest in it at all. he will sit on the potty right before bath time, he has never pooped in it and hardly ever pees in it. we tried the underwear and he just pees in them and doesn't care, if you go to change him out of them he will try to run away. he doesn't want to potty train, but he is ready for it. he is so stubborn, just like me lol. he refuses to use his little potty, he will only sit on the big potty to go.which is fine, if he would sit there longer than 2 seconds and pretend to pee, he holds his penis and says "pssss" all done mommy. its infuriating when he does that. but what do i do????? how to get him to potty train? ugh, boys are much harder than girls lol.

My little guy who is 2 1/2 started out doing the exact same thing. It just took some time. I backed off for a couple of weeks when he did the "pssss" sound... I also took the underwear off too when I started back up. Every kid seems to respond different. Good luck!
