Our MOP's group here is the obvious $20 registration fee. Then, there are two $30 payments every 6 months. At least that is how I paid. I don't remember what the other option was. I loved MOP's, but had to stop going this year, because obviously things have gotten crazy busy here! I don't think I'll be able to keep up with the meetings with three babies a preschooler and a kindergartener and DD1 and DD2 both have gymnastics. Each of them have it one day a week. DD1 has it Tues. mornings and DD2 has it Thursday nights.

I went to my first meeting today. I paid $50 for the year instead of $5 at each meeting since it would cheeper, and I wouldn't have to remember to bring money each time. I already subscribe to the magazine on my own last year so I didn't have to pay that upfront, but I will in Jan when my subscrption needs renewed. I am so excited to get out of the house and meet new moms. I wish it was weekly. Everyone was SO nice.

Another MOPS mom here - this is my 7th year! The fee our group charges is $20 in the fall (which goes towards MOPS International and includes the Momsense magazine) and $20 in the winter/spring, which goes into our budget. We are blessed to have a very supportive church, volunteers to watch the children, and a lot of frugal moms on our steering team, so we are able to pull it off without a lot of expense.

I'd highly recommend MOPS, although each group is different and you may feel more comfortable in one than another. It was a lifesaver for me when we moved to a new area when I was 8 mths pregnant and didn't know anyone or have any family around. I was so excited to meet other stay at home moms and leave the isolation of our tiny apartment with an infant!

You can go to mops.org and put in your zip code - it will show if there are any groups in your area and how to get in touch with the coordinator.

If you go to mops.org, you should be able to search for groups in your area!

I went to MOPS International - Mothers of Preschoolers and they have a "join a local group" link for you to find any local groups available. Is that what you're wanting? To join up with an existing one? Or to create one?
