Okay, so my dd has been potty trained since December and never really had any accidents. Well, the past month or so she has been wetting her pants at least once a day. Only it's not like she's completely wetting her pants, it's just a little bit and then she will finish in the toilet. "It's just a little leak" as she would say but it's enough that she has to change her panties. I have tried everything I can think of to get her to stop doing this. It doesn't seem to hurt her to pee, nothing at our home has changed to make her regress like this, and it doesn't really seem to phase her that she does it in the first place. Does anyone know what her deal might be? What can I do? TIA

She might have a minor urinary tract infection. It wouldn't hurt to ask her doctor.

Fear not. It is completely normal for preschoolers to have potty accidents and they do go through little phases like this. She'll figure it out.

Hint: She might be so busy playing that she isn't sitting on the potty long enough to empty her bladder completely. When she gets up to start playing again her body is saying, "Hey! I wasn't done!"

My 3 year old is doing this off and on now. She was completely trained in January, with the occasional accident. And now the last couple of months she is not only peeing in her pants but pooping! It is driving me batty and I have thrown out so many underwear. The last 3 weeks have been really good and I hope that she continues with it. My word of advice is to just tough it out. Let her know that she is a big girl and is not supposed to have accidents anymore. It will pass and she will soon understand completely.

My son did this too recently. I really think it's because they get so involved in whatever it is they are doing. I just started gently reminding him to go potty and it soon stopped. If you can rule out an infection i would suggest just taking time to remind her.
