I was just wondering if anyones child is more difficult now that they are four then when they were two??? Wyatt was such an easy going toddler. He was a breeze. Once he hit about 3 is when things started getting more difficult. He's a emotional and kind of moody boy. Very happy but he just has those times when he says stuff like "You're not the best mom" and "I don't like you."......He also can get his feelings hurt easily. He's so different from my first born. He's a ball of energy but not as emotional.

Oh and i've heard this is the norm....but Wyatt is making some sort of noise at all times. It frazzles my brain at times.

My little one has always been a challenge, but I do think it got worse lately (he is 4). I think that is simply because he is capable of doing more, and a more independent thinker than when he was younger. He also is NEVER silent!

When Brandon hit 4 in June, it was almost like a switch came on inside him! UGH! He's such a little terror, and can be so sweet the next minute. Like a little Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde! I hope he outgrows his attitute problem soon or I will be forced to duct tape him to a ceiling fan to keep him out of my hair for 5 seconds!

My DD just turned 4 on the 23rd of August and I started to see the change happen about 2 weeks b4 her birthday.
She is more sassy, more independent(but still unsure & gets frustrated easily), wants her way or she has a fit, not a "throw herself on the floor fit" but more talking back or stomping off, or just giving me the silent treatment(she gets that from her father) She is generally very good natured but I have seen somewhat of a change in her at this age too. I have heard that changes around the 5-6 age range. Lets hope so, sometimes we are at each others throats!

With all the girls so far, 4 has been by far the hardest age of any. Let's see...bossy, selfish, deaf, trying new no-no words, lying, fit throwing, fighting....these all increased at 4. It did go away again ~ but this age is when we have sought the most help from others, books, etc... This is SO NOT typical of our girls.

I don't know what it is, but Grrrrrrrr ~ I really dislike 4!

This is my oldest. She never stops.

She has also been getting up at 5:30am, not taking a nap then up until around 8:30 at night. I realize she is getting old for naps but she gets up so early and goes to a.m. preschool. You would think she would be tired!

Ds turned four last week. I would agree with the attitude. When I do stuff he doesn't like, he tells me, "You're the meanest mom I ever had!"

Like he's had so many! Unless he's remembering past lives. My kids tell me I'm cranky.

She turned 4 in August and turned into a brat at the same time LOL! This is definitely the most difficult age yet. She was the easiest baby/toddler ever, but that all changed when she turned 3 - 3 1/2. However, 4 has definitely been harder so far. She talks back in a big way. So much so that we've had her sitting in time outs with her hand over her mouth for being fresh. We also won't give her ANYTHING unless she asks for it in a respectful manner. Just at dinner tonight we had a huge dramatic meltdown because she had to eat a piece of cauliflower. Calgon....take me away LOL!
