Does your preschooler have a bedroom theme? Wyatt's room is done in transportation. I actually got his bedding, lamp, wall shelf and decorative lights off craigslist for under $50. His comforter is in primary colors and it has cars, dump trucks, air planes and trains on it.
I am thinking at Christmas changing it out and letting him pick something else. We will see though.

I got a really "girlie" looking quilt on sale w. a coupon from Linens N Things. It's a patchwork type of quilt in a really pretty pink, green and white. We are doing the rest of her room in butterflies, flowers and fairies. Only part of it is done right now, but we'll finish the rest as we have the money. For example, we got a free nightstand from tag sale leftovers from a family member. DH painted it white and is putting fairy "stickers" on it. I'm going to do a little decorative painting (to the best of my EXTREMELY limited ability LOL!) and then it will be finished. I got three butterfly decorative items at Michael's (with 40% off coupons) that are hanging on one wall, and a mirror with flowers painted on it from Christmas Tree Shops for $6.99. My sister made a lovely needlepoint picture of some flowers that I want to frame as soon as we have the cash. I'm going to re-do her lampshade with some ribbons, buttons, flowers, etc. She really needs furniture, too, but we'll have to wait for that.

Anyway - hope that answers. Sorry this got so long.

DD1 has sort of a "princess" room. Her walls are painted beautiful pink and she's got a canopy over her bed with "jewels" glued onto it. All of her furniture is white, so it stands out againsed the pink walls nicely.
DD2 has a "butterflies" room. I painted her room "breezy pink" and cut up butterfly wall paper border and put the butterflies around in different places of the room. She has Butterfly "streamer curtains" and a canopy as well with butterflies on it.
Noahs room is done in cars and trucks- It's a "cool green" color and has a cars and trucks border and bedding to match.
The twins have a "noah's arc" theme but it's not too heavy. It's a buttercream yellow and has nice wood dressers and cribs. There are a few pictures of "Noah's Arc" things on the walls and their bedding is pastells (Isabell's is pastell pinks, greens, yellows and Isaac's is pastell blues, yellows and greens)
