How many of you have to provide snack for your preschooler to take to school??? I think my preschool is asking for a lot. At the first of every month, I have to provide two boxes of treats, than when it is my child's day, I have to provide another treat besides the ones that I have already brought. Preferrably (SP??) something different and also drinks-only if I want to. I just think that is a lot of money to be spent on that my child will only get a handful of crackers or whatever. Maybe I am just being a butt head about it all.
But this is the school that I had to provide 12 DOUBLE rolls of toilet paper and three BIG boxes of kleenex, a box of band aids and a box of dixie cups.

Are you paying for this preschool? That does seem like a lot if you are. I just send my dd with a snack everyday in her little lunch box. Everybody else does the same.

Wow, How many days a week does your child attend this preschool? I work at a preschool, we have classes for 4 & 5 year olds 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours and for 3 & 4 year olds 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. Each day we have school a child is to bring snack to share with the other children. We the preschool provide the juice and milk. That just seems really outrageous that you have to provide all of that. We also ask for kleenex during the cold and flu season as the kids can go through them like crazy but we do not specify anything and the church provides our TP and paper towels.

Oh yes! $158/mo for two days a week from 8-3. It is a christian based school (preschool to I think 7th grade) It had the best curriculm. All the other preschools were at peoples homes and I was afraid of my child watching tv all day long. He doesnt HAVE to go to preschool ( I only work 3 1/2 hrs a day plus dh is home) but it would greatly benefit him to have someone else teaching him all the preschool stuff plus playing with other children his own age.
I also have to pack a lunch for him too. And at the Open House meeting the other day, they went over what was a good lunch and what was not. They were really trying to push for everone to start buying organic and all natural things too. Kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Although we do not eat organic products, I feed my kids very healthy foods. As far as drinks, if I do not send him juice (100% juice only) than he can have milk. I give the office money for that. They will charge .50 for a carton of milk. I will be sending my own milk in a sipper for that much.

I agree that does sound like a lot. My dd goes to preschool 2 mornings a week. We have to provide a snack and drink for the class once about every 2 months. They have never asked us to provide any other supplies.

That seems like a lot. Zack goes 3 days a week and I only provide the snack on the day I have to co-op (about once a month). The school does have stuff on hand in case mom drops the ball. I'll have to supply a couple of boxes of tissues and some hand soap but not until after the first of the year.

My ds is in prek~4 at a private school as well and goes 5, half days. We pack them a little snack each day. Except on fridays where parents sign up to send in a snack, drinks, cups etc. for the whole class.

ds goes 2 days a week for 2 hours each day. We pay $45/mo. There are 12 kids in the class and on a rotating basis each parent brings in snacks for the week. So that means that I bring in snacks for 2 days every 3 months. Seemed ok to me.
