Ok my dd is 19 months old and IMO not old enough to really hard core potty train yet, but all she wants to do all day is sit on the potty. She never goes, but she's always going momma potty and running to the potty. she'll sit up there for like 20 mins not go and doesn't want to come off. So my question is how can I help her make the connection between sitting up there and actually going. I've tried running water when she's up there and it didn't work. I'm not in any hurry to train her but I thought if she wants to sit there all the time maybe there is some kind of trick that some one might have to speed up the process. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi! my dd did that too around that age, then after a week or so she got sick of it and potty trained a couple of months later. I know that is no help lol

Is she going potty in her diaper? Just curious if she had a UTI, like she feels like she has to go but cannot?

Yeah she's going in her diaper like two minutes after she gets off the potty
