Does your preschooler say or do things in public that just down right embarrass you?

Yesterday I took Kaylin and Brooklyn with me to the Local Scrapbooking Store. We were the only ones in there besides the owner and the sales associate. Well we went ahead and bought our stuff and we were walking out the front door when a lady came in and Kaylin shouts " Mommy that mommy has a big bottom!" She said it twice! Right away I said yes that purse is big isn't it? That was the only thing that I could think of at that moment because there were some big scrapbooking bags on the floor by the door. Ugh!! I am so glad that we were leaving or I would have wanted to crawl into a hole. By the way she calls your butt a bottom. I am not sure why.

Wyatt pointed at a rather large man yesterday and said "Did he eat too much mom"?
Thankfully he was far enough away that he didn't hear him but a few people around us did. I was also embarrassed because i'm not small... and i'm sure they were thinking...."Just like your mama!"

Another thing he did the other day was he heard me say something about a tampon to my husband. For about an hour he kept saying the word tampon!!! He didn't say it in front of anyone YET....I'm hoping he doesn't remember it while we are in the middle of the grocery store or something.

My daughter has found out what boobs are. She points to mine all of the time and says "boobs". Now she thinks bras are boobs too! So while at the store walking through the lingerie dept., she puts her hand out to touch all of the bras and says loudly "my boobs!". I personally think it's funny, I guess you kinda have to.

My little one says "daisy is a pain in the ass" to anyone who asks about our dog, I guess I have said that too much

She also saw a man that was gray headed and asked if he was santa....

kids are so funny and so truthful sometimes

Sounds like you handled it well! It can be so hard thinking of something at the spur of the moment like that!
My DS hates being in a cart or stroller right now, and when he wants to get out and can't he yells at the top of his lungs, Help! Help Me! People always look, it can be embarrassing sometimes Oh well, hopefully it's just a stage....

Ha Ha I was really happy we were home one day because my daughter who was 4 at the time decided to play a rhyming game with the word Tigger and well you can all guess what word came out of her mouth.

My son is a riot sometimes and humiliating other times. For example -
I made something for dinner one night that he did not like. I told him to eat it anyway. He took one bite and told my husband that it tasted riducolos - (ridiculous) because he always hears me say that word. I about spit my food out. It was very funny.

Then the other day at his part time preschool class at our church - he was playing blocks (building a tower) with his teacher when another kid knocked them over. He said, "well, damn" When I picked him up she told me about it and I asked him (in front of the teacher) who he had heard say that. First I said was it another kid or someone at the school. Both times he shook his head and said no. I said well, who did you hear it from - he said "you momma, you get mad at me for juice in floor". That was humiliating and now I make sure that I pay special attention to my words. LOL

He also tells his daddy that mommy drives too fast, he tells me his sister talks to boys and that the "damn cat" has been on the bed (his daddy thinks that cat's name is "damn cat"
