My kids sometimes think I am crazy because I will take a popular kids song and change the words to match whatever we are doing. Now they are actually starting to sing it the way I do. I have also found that there are many songs out there that incorprate the ABC's and Numbers and Colors.

So do you sing songs around the house? Do you change the lyrics?

OMG!!! I've always done this too!! I take songs and change them, or make up songs about something that's going on. My kids tell me I'm "whimsical".

Yes, my family sometimes finds me a bit odd, but odd in a funny, happy sort of way. (Like I also talk to animals...like when we go to the zoo I'll tell the animals how handsome they are and things.) Guess there are worse things to be.

I'm loony, too. My kids made me that way! They love it when I dance - diva joins right in. She is so graceful! BUT when I sing, she always says, "Stoppin' Mommy Music." It means don't sing - really wonderful for my esteem.

When ds was a baby, I would sing a song like "When You Wish Upon a Star" and he would cry! Now diva doesn't like me to sing it. But she likes me to sing the Blues Clue, Backyardiggans and Barney song.

"I love you, you love me...." over and over and over.

But my own songs - or rather, adult songs? "Stoppin' Mommy Music".
