IN THE POTTY!!!

She is totally a "do what she sees" kind of girl and does it often. So the other day we are in Burger King peeing and I noticed her watching me and my oldest dd intently. Well that night at Grandma's she asked for all her clothes off and she sat on the potty and tooted out a little terd. The next day she sat on it and nothing and then today, she sat on it and peed! I will be sooooooooooooo happy not to have to buy diapers so soon!
Problem is that my SIL has an almost 3 yr old (my niece) and she looks at the potty and says NO! so I can't brag to the family. My oldest was 2 1/2 when she potty trained so I knew I'd have to start working on it soon, but not this soon!

Kids are so funny My sister potty trained herself when we were on vacation. She was crazy about the potty in the trailer so she taught herself how to use the potty so she could flush it

My oldest DD was being stubborn about being potty trained but I knew she was ready. I took her on a visit of the preschool I wanted to send her to once she was 2.5 years old and told her only girls who can use the potty can go to that school. She started using the potty that day and only had 2 accidents after that.

YAY! My little diva will remove her clothing and diaper, get her potty seat, put it on the toilet (mind you, she also has a perfectly wonderful little girl potty, but prefers the big thing), scoots her little butt on it and.....nothing. Then she takes toilet paper, wads it up and puts it in the toilet without using it. So...we're not quite there yet.

That is awesome news. It is good of you not to mention it unless asked to your SIL. It is probably very stressful for her. My little angel turned 3 in July and she still is not completely potty trained! I have started a chart for her and am just putting her on the toilet every hour or so. I think we backslid when we moved.

Congrats that is awesome. My dd is 21 months also and is always interested when you use the bathroom I let her come in and tell her "mommy is going potty" we haven't been sitting her on it much but will soon since we will have a baby soon and don't want to have two in diapers I am very happy for you though. My son was three and a half before he was officially potty trained. Hopefully DD will be a bit faster

to you and your daughter

Hey that's my dd too. We go potty about 10 times a day..... she's peed once and we've been doing this for about a month. She wants to be like big sis. I think this will take quite some time for my dd to get this being that she just turned 20 months.

That is awesome!

We actually started potty training DS at 18 months. He did pretty good. He would sit on it, and if we got him on it at the right time would pee or poop in it. He put him in Big Boy underwear and he would tell me that he peed or pooped in his pants right away. Then I got PG and had horrible morning sickness through my 6th month so potty training got put on the back burner. He is now 2.5 and we have been actively "training" him for about a couple of weeks now. His problem now is that he is too distracted by everything to actually want to sit on the potty. So I have to force him to go to the bathroom and sit on it half of the time. Then he just wants to play with everything in the bathroom. But then the other half of the time he wants me sit with him and talk or sing songs and then he will actually go. But I know we are making progress. The other day while we were visiting my parents he woke up in the morning and told me that he had to go pee pee in the potty. So we went and he actually pooped in the potty. So we are getting there.
