My boys are both about 37# and they look like Monsters in the double stroller. I was thinking about buying a Sit and Stand Stroller. Do you have one that you are happy with or are there any that I should avoid?

I had one years ago. I don't remember what kind but I really loved it.

I bought one used (Swan I think) from a friend at church for $75 last fall. Both my kids love using it (which is great). Not so much for me though as it is difficult to steer/turn and the cargo basket is unusable except for very small items. Still I am very happy I bought it as the double stroller at their ages is overkill (I have 2 and 4 year old boys) and a single stroller won't work for those times when I need both of my boys contained (or my 4 year old gets tired). BUT I also think it was a much better decision to buy it used than spend $150 for a brand new one.

I have the Baby Trend Sit n Stand and I hate it. DS is about 32 pounds and DD is 31 pounds, the stroller doesn't steer easily when they are both in it and its very heavy when folded up. I think I've used it 4 or 5 times, now its sitting in the garage collecting dust. It was a huge waste of money for us.

My SIL has one, will eventually be passed to us as we add to our family. I'm not sure I want it. A stated before, it is very heavy, hard to steer and not enough cargo space. But, it works well for bigger kids who can ride on back, it really is a nice feature.

Im expecting my second and my first will be three when he/she is born. Ive been wondering if it is worth the money. It seems sort of impractical and will probably take up my whole trunk lol. I think older kids should be able to walk most of the time or ride in shopping carts etc. Ive been thinking that since I have 2 single strollers, ill just use those. I fiugre that for major outings when they both need to sit i wont be alone. Then i wont have to spend any money lol.

I got a sit and stand when I had my second. My oldest was 3. I used it for about a year. As soon as the baby could walk she wouldn't sit and I ended up holding her and my oldest got lazy so I was holding the baby and pushing the oldest. But honestly I only used a stroller at the mall all the other stores have carts and I rarely go to the mall so I don't know why I bought it!

I have the Baby Trend sit and stand and I LOVE IT! It is a life saver. Yes, it's big and heavy, but then again so is every double stroller. There's no way around it. I have a Toyota Corolla and it fits easily in the trunk. In fact, I just took the kids on a short road trip and fit the pack and play, stroller, overnight bag and large luggage bag in my trunk with no problem. My daughter is 10 months (20lbs) and my son is 2 1/2 ( 35lbs). It is heavier to push two around as opposed to one, naturally, but I have no problem steering it. I still use the infant car seat and can easily attach it. I don't know why I waited to so long to get it. I had my heart set on the Joovy, but I found that when my son sat on the seat in the back, he would have to hunch over if my daughter was in the recline position. Plus the Baby Trend has a parent tray and the Joovy doesn't. I read tons of online reviews and for the price, I felt that I just couldn't go wrong.

I was just going to ask about the Joovy vs the Baby Trend. I drive a Truck so size and weight isn't a big deal to me. I've been hauling around my double stroller for almost 2 years and that thing is huge! It's getting harder to steer with 75# of weight in it but I love the big basket, parent try and the durability of it. My kids are 15 months apart so what one has/does, the other wants the same. Maybe I'll be able to try them out later this week when I'm in the Cities. The parent try is a necessity so the Joovy is more than likely out.
I may just have to take the double seated wagon out when I'm not hauling so much cargo.
Such decisions! Thanks for all of the input!
