I posted on here probably almost 2 weeks ago about the struggles we were having with my daughter and her pre-school. When she started in the fall she LOVED it. She was very involved in her class and she was meeting other kids who enjoyed playing with My Little Pony as well. It was great.

Well, somewhere in there things started going wrong. First she kept getting sick and we had several ear infections. And then she started having issues with me leaving her. I couldn't even take the trash outside without her screaming for me in the house. Or even go and start up the car and let it warm up before taking her out to it. Even if I had her stand at the window and watch to go right out there and come back. She also was chewing on her hair, like all the time. And she was exhausted, especially on the days she came home from preschool.

In about January she started mentioning a little boy and how she didn't like him. She even, at one point, jumped on this little boy. Which isn't like her but kids will be kids. And then we no longer could get her to go to preschool without it being a nightmare. When she was at preschool she went from the kid who sat in the front of the circle who answered questions to the little kid that kept trying to lie down and go to sleep or kept crying! After a lot of discussion and thought (some which I posted on here) we decided to pull her and keep her at home.

It has been a full week now since she has not gone and she knows she isn't going back. She has done a complete turn around. She still stays close to me but I can now at least leave the room again. The naps, for the most part, have stopped. She even stopped chewing on her hair! She misses her friends but outside of that she is a completely different kid. She's happy and becoming independent again. I just cannot believe the change in my daughter.

I can't imagine that one little boy would terrorize so but she has never complained about the school, her teachers, or anyone else. Just this one little boy.

Anyway, I just thought I would share. I never dreamed that she was having this amount of stress over this one issue but she was. I know we made the right decision.

I'm very happy she is doing so well.

It is sad that her school experience was ruined by this child.

WOW! That is a complete turn around!

Do you know what the little boy used to say to her or any of the specifics? Hopefully she'll be ok when she starts school again, that it is not a permanent thingy in her memory ( they are very good at remembering things )

Anyways, glad you have your dd "back"!!!
