My diva doesn't toddle at 2 1/2 years. But she's not really a Preschooler? What age/ability is the line of distinction drawn?

I know what you mean. Mine is 27 months old. She certainly isn't a toddler but not really a preschooler either. I guess at 2 she is considered a preschooler.

I think it's usually drawn at age 3 (at least the places I have seen). Most preschools I am familiar with allow kids ages 3 & 4, that are potty trained. So in my mind that is the defining criteria

Ds was almost 3 when he started Montessori. So that's when I saw him as a preschooler rather than a toddler. I guess I would consider him a preschooler at 3 even if he hadn't gone to preschool. Then he'd be school aged when he started K.

If I remember correctly our kids are just a few days apart, desertmom. Mine is definitely not a toddler anymore either! He does go to preschool 2 mornings a week, so I guess technically he is a preschooler, but I don't really think of him that way yet. Maybe at 3?
