Has anyone ever watched a movie where the parent reads a story, and the kid falls asleep, and you think "Yeah, right!". Because of course they never fall asleep while you read to them. You read a book, and they ask for another. And if you read them a long story, they get bored. Well, it has finally happened for me. My 3 year old will let me read from a poem book to her now, and I don't mind reading poems until she falls asleep. I have A Childs Garden of Verses, and I get halfway through, and she falls asleep. Yeah! It makes bedtime so much easier.

Tonight I had to re-read the same four titles I read yesterday! My kids have NEVER fallen asleep during a story....so not fair! My daughter has fallen asleep during a haircut at the salon....does that count for something!?!?!?!
