My 4 year old does dance. She also has Kids Club once a week at Church. We are taking a break from gymnastics until summer. What activities/sports do you have your toddler/preschoolers in?

My dd does dance and swimming lessons. She also plays soccer in the summer and does one class each session at the YMCA, currently it's tumbling. We have occasional cheerleading camps put on by the high school kids so when they come up, I put her in that. Since she only goes to school four afternoons a week, we have lots of time for activities. She wants to start hockey next year but that's only weekends while they are little. I'm trying to figure out what to plan for the summer!

We don't have her enrolled in any activities other than attending preschool.

We keep her entertained with a variety of outdoor activities as a family. My husband has been taking her snow skiing once a week. It will soon be waterski season (she kneeboards)!!! I take them to the parks, hiking trails, biking trails and museums.

Mine little guy goes to daycare full time and preschool part time. He is currently in wrestling and loves it!! In the summer he will do Tot-lot (a summer rec type program) We are waiting until Kindergarten to start most activities.

well neither of my boys are traditional sports kids they don't want to do soccer t-ball that kind of stuff so thats ok with dh and i we give them the choice and so far they don't want to do any of that ds did do tiger cubs this year but does not care to continue next year...

i did sign both my ds's (3 1/2 and almost 7) up for martial arts class that is two times a week for 8 wks starting in april thru the community college catalog this way they can try it and if they like it we will continue if not it was an experience...(it was only $100.00 for both of them for 8 weeks wich i did not think was bad). both boys do archery with their dad in the spring to summer months and also love fishing. i think they are more outdoors kids than sports kids..

oldest ds is going to a week of day camp with his friend abby at camp wapsie it was expensive i thought at $190.00 but worth the experience this summer i feel...

so thats about it i don't want my kids overscheduled but also would like them to find at least one or two activities they enjoy even if they are not traditional sports.

We're not doing anything right now. But come summer I hope she's old enough for swim lessons and I'm looking into tennis camp or t-ball but I don't know if she will be old enough in my town. Come fall I actually want to look into ice skating but that is in Canada and, due to recent changes, I need to get passports for us all.

My 4 yr old plays soccer in the spring and fall and she plays kickball in the spring. This is her second year for both sports, we thought about t-ball but she is still very tiny and could not even hold the lightest bat we could find.

My 4 year old son is playing soccer again in a few weeks and has been begging to start hockey up like his daddy! Soccer is cheap and Hockey isn't TOO bad for the lessons, but I'm not looking forward to having to fork over the cost for the hockey gear... so I've been putting it off, but I think he'll start in March.

I'm thinking of getting him in some swim lessons before summer starts so that we can go to my parents house once or twice a week and maybe he'll be more comfortable in the water.

I was thinking about getting him in some sort of day-camp type thing - but don't know of any yet, so we'll probably just go to the library and park a lot!

Wow, your kids are busy!! I guess I must be a lazy mom!! Ds is in preschool and we go to church on Sun and Wed (when we are all healthy) but that is about it. I was going to try to get both kids (dd is 2) into swimming lessons this summer.

I guess...Idon't know...we don't feel the push to get our kids involved in tons of activities like tball etc. We just feel like our kids will be busy enough come jr hi and high school - why start now. The stress that I see kids under is so big - I just don't want that for my kids. So we won't sign our kids up for anything for quite a few years...maybe scouts or 4H.
JMHO.
