My ds is definitely going through a "stage" right now! Past 3 nights he has woke up around 3:30, and had to have me hold him and rock him until he fell back asleep. Then yesterday at daycare he was just moody all day, and in a biting mood. He bit 2 different kids! And this is the first time he has ever bit at all at daycare, so I'm really concerned! Could he just be starting his tt's early maybe? I know most kids go through a biting stage, but the whole waking up and having to have me hold him thing is just a little too strange. Any suggestions?

Has he had any nightmares? That may be why he would want you to rock him to sleep. I personally would stop doing that really fast before it becomes every night. I would play with his hair or something, find him a "special" stuffed toy/blanket whatever and encourage hime to go back to sleep on his own. His behavior at day care is probably b/c he is over tired from being up in the middle of the night. My son can get the same way.

When they are in that type of mood, I blame it on teething first.

I was wondering about the nightmare thing. It is totally unlike him to do that, so I know it has to be SOMETHING! I feel so bad though with the way that he is just screaming when he wakes up. It breaks my heart!
