Anybody have a recommendation on a powerwheel jeep or car?? Any certain brands better than others? I was thinking of getting one for my 4 year old and 3 year old to share for Christmas..... Is it worth the money????
Thanks for the info!!!!

I don't think they are worth the money. We have one, they use it more for a climber than a vehicle that goes. Plus 4 is too old for them, you would maybe get one year out of it. Scooters and bikes are better for that age.

I have to agree with her. We have a Power Wheels Jeep...and they used it very much when they were at the 2 year old...maybe even to the 3 year old range..but after that, they liked their big wheels and then big kid bikes, scooters, etc. I bet ours hasn't been taken out of the garage in six months. If you DO get one...make sure to get the double seater...we only got a one seater...the baby was too little at the time, so we never even thought of it. We have had many a fight over who's turn it was to drive that darn thing!!

Marcus has the quad and got it when he was three. He is four now and still rides it at least four or more times a week. The neighbor boy got an Escalade which I think is better because they can BOTH ride in it at the same time. It also plays music and has a mic that works.

I will say that Marcus also has a three wheeled scooter and a two wheeled scooter. The three wheeled one was used very little before he grew bored and wanted the two wheeled. He has gone through two of them already - tons of use. He has a bike with training wheels that gets used more than any trike did.

I agree with the 2 seater. We don't have them but some relatives do. It is such a pain when all the kids fight over who's turn it is. It's much nicer to seat them both at the same time. This is the first thing my boys ask to do at my SIL house.

We have the 2 seater pink jeep. Santa brought it when dd was 3 and dd who is now 6 still uses it. We do alot of walking around the block and dd switches between her jeep, her bike and her scooter. The 2 seaters are nice because they hold more weight so dd can use it longer.

My children recently received the Pink Barbie Jeep as a hand me down and they LOVE IT! It is a two seater so they are able to play in it together with little fighting (only who gets to drive first). My children are almost 4, and almost 6 (and 3 months). All of the kids in the neighborhood like it. They just take turns with their friends. Some ride bikes/scooters, while some ride in the jeep. In my opinion, they'll love it!!!

We got one (Jeep) for $5 at goodwill and it works and 2 yr old ds loves it. I, however, would not buy one new because they have very little power and I end up getting stuck with pushing him in it every 5 minutes because it gets stuck. It's only a 1 wheel drive and that one wheel just sits and spins.

We had a Powerwheels Jeep. I got the floor model at Target for a steal. We recently gave it away to a friend with a two year old. We took really good care of it and it looks brand new. We had no problems with it.

My kids enjoyed it, here and there, when we had it. It's not like it was something they used every time they went outside. They liked to make obstacle courses in the back yard with orange cones and other sports equipment and then try to drive the jeep thru the course. LOL

We've had the discussion before where folks were saying that they'd never own something like that because they'd want their kids to ride bikes or be active etc Well my kids are far from inactive, they do ride their bikes, skateboards and scooters, run around the yard and neighborhood and always have . The jeep was just a very small part of activities they liked to do outside when they were smaller.

We have the John Deer Gator and my 3 year old loves it. He drives it all the time. He has older cousins that love it too ages 4-7. It's nice because you can fit 2 kids and it has a back bin that we have him help carry things from the garden up to the house and also I can fit a laundry basket in there and he takes it to my clothes line for me.
