Does your child ever talk to the tv, or do what Diego or Dora asks them to? Whenever my 3 year old watches shows that ask her to do what they are doing, she doesn't usually do it, just watches.
She doesn't talk to the tv.
But today, while watching Blues Clues(dvd from the library) they asked her what she liked about her friends, or something like that, and she went off on a tangent telling Blue and Steve all the things she likes about her friends, and she even said bye to them at the end of the show. The most she has done before is sing the Mail song.
Maybe I am just realizing that this is her most favorite show. She has been asking to watch it, and I just realized it is not on anymore.
I tried to get it On Demand for her, and it told me I do not have ascess to that channel. I geuss it is on Noggin now, and we don't have that.

My older two never interacted with t.v. but my third child does all the time. He is always yelling out the answers, pointing to the correct object, etc. He's really fun to watch shows like Blues Clues (one of his all-time favorites) with. The most my older two ever did was do the dances after the show was over, unless I could coax them into doing it during the show.

Mine tried to take the TV apart. He was going to let those little people out of there.

Oh yes! just yesterday he walked right up to the tv and pointed out the blue ball that dora was "asking" them to find. Too cute!

That is hysterical.

My oldest talked to the tv all the time from a very young age. He is an overachiever by nature, though. My youngest doesn't interact with the tv very often, but every now and then he will. I discovered a cute little music show the other day on PBSkids On Demand (don't know if it is an actual show or not). It is called Bounce. My almost 3 year old was mesmerized and watched and interacted the whole half hour. He even made me get his guitar out so he could strum along with the lady that was playing and singing.

I had never heard of Bounce until now, so I just went to the tv and put in on. She has already said hi to the little guy.
I think this will be a hit since there is music.

Mine are always laughing and singing and dancing along to the tv, but only Bob has ever really interacted with it. It was Moose doing the matching boot thing on Noggin and Bob was just showing me which one was the right one.

I think I interact more with Dora and Diego than my kids, lol.

ChickyHip, that is funny. Me and her Dad sit there trying to get her to answer the questions. Maybe we should just answer them ourselves.

My older son always did and my middle son does too now (but possibly just cause his brother does).

I love it though at the end of Dora when she asks "What was your favorite part?" My kids always answered... "I like that too..." (which is what Dora says after she waits a few minutes)!

Conversation goes...
Dora: What was your favorite part?
My boys: I like that too.
Dora: I like that too.
