Does your little one eat fruits and vegetables? Do you sneak them into their food to get them to eat them?

Both my kids actually love fruit, and a good amount of vegetables. Don't get me wrong, they love candy, too! I try to limit what kind of junk I have in the house, usually no chips or the like, except maybe pretzels. I try to keep some fresh fruit in the house at all time, and they also like to have carrots that they can dip in ranch. I also get things like granola/cereal bars. My littlest one loves to snack, so when I feel she's had enough, I'll tell her if she's going to have a snack, it's going to be some kind of fruit or vegetable! I also limit actual candy to once a day, they know if they do alright on their dinner they can pick out one piece of candy for dessert.

I too am a lucky mom that way, both the boys love veggies and fruit! They usually ask for seconds on broccoli!

They both love fruit. Jamie loves vegetables, but Bob is pretty much meat and potatoes, maybe some corn.

My DD would rather snack off of the veggie tray than have cake and ice cream at a birthday party. Other parents comment to me all the time about it.

I have found, for the most part, kids love a variety of foods as long as we don't subject them to our pre-conceived notions of what they'll prefer. For instance, one of my DD's favorite meals is shrimp, especially sauteed in butter and garlic. She likes to eat salmon. She also loves chili over rice. She always looks at me funny when I make it then she gobbles it right up as soon as she tastes it. Her other favorite food is potstickers (Chinese dumplings). Who'da thunk it.

Many picky eaters like foods that aren't combined with other foods. Casseroles are out. Raw veggies tend to be more kid friendly than cooked. DD loves to have plain, raw cauliflower as a snack.

I have never had to sneak in fruits and veggies in when I cook or bake. My kids love to eat raw veggies and fruit. Ds1&2 will each eat an apple every afternoon.

He eats everything willingly, as long as it doesn't have a sauce (bbq, cream sauce, gravy) on it so fresh foods are a great option for him. If it's something he is hesitant to eat, we tell him what eating it does (bread makes you run for a long time, chicken makes you STRONGER *flex here*, fruits/veggies make you smarter, etc) and he gobbles it right down because he wants to be big, smart, strong and run fast like everyone he looks up to.

No I don't have to sneak in. They are used to healthy food that's all they are given, they LOVE fruits and most veggies. My dd begs for salad on a daily basis, I call her my future vegetarian b/c she would rather have broccoli than cake. Now my ds likes broccoli with ranch dip but give him cake anyday! We have fresh fruit or veggies as an afternoon snack on a daily basis and they can have apples or bananas whenever they want.

I think most kids love fruit b/c of the natural sweetness. At least I've never met a child that didn't like fruit! Veggies yeah some kids hate them but how can you hate fruit?!
