My oldest son Trace is called "Booda"- my dad called him booger as a baby and I told him that my baby was not a booger so it evolved into Booda. He is also Rabbit most commonly. His first Easter he wore little peter rabbit overalls and was so cute, I've always called him my little rabbit.
Blake is Blakey or Blakey Boy and sometimes we call him "Dootsy" ( My grandfather is nicknamed Beaucy and Trace tried to call the bay that once and it came out Dootsy"

Liliana is Na-na because that is how she said her name. She's also Squish, Squishie, or Squish-mo. My husband's doing.

Logan is Little Dude or Chub. He really is a little dude though.

My ds's name is actually his nickname. His legal name is "William", but we call him "Liam". William is a family name in my family, but I am not fond of nicknames in general. However, the irish nickname for William is Liam, so we decided we would call him Liam from Day 1 and the the need for other nicknames will not arise. (dh is of irish descent so we thought it was appropriate) He doesn't respond to William at all, the doctor always calls him that and he looks at her like she's crazy.
I also call him "bear", but that's just me

My 16-month old DD is "booger" or "boogie" or "boogie-boo", and yes i know it will have to stop soon.

After one particularly bad night when we were up half the night, DD woke up all happy and innocent looking and i said "you booger!!!", and the name has stuck since then.

My son is JarBear (Jar in his name rhymes with bear, like in Jared), or I call him Bug for bugaboo.

Then of course there's Diva, whom we also call Princess (which she hates). She calls herself Busdriver. Just love that age of 2.

My stepson was "Zippy" until he started 7th grade. He got it when he was a baby and could crawl real fast - he would zip around.

My oldest DS is "Goose" or "Goosey" for silly goose. He is and always has been funny, even when he isn't trying.

My youngest is "Wiggy" or "Wigs" for Wiggle Worm. Now that he is getting older it is not sticking as much.

I call them all by their given names and have not given them nicknames short for it. I figure their friends will eventually do that in school. It will also allow them to choose what people call them.
