with my 15 month old dd. we had a good time. i was wondering what else can we do for an outing this summer that a girl her age would enjoy, preferably indoors because it will be hot, and on the inexpensive side. i don't want to do too much, but she's my first, so i want to do a lot of fun things with her (and i have time).

Check out the museums in your area. Many of them have hands-on activities, including especially for toddlers.

Check out the library for story times. Go to the mall and let her walk around. Like PP, museums are great. They often have discount days or discount rates available at your library - check that out. Check into your local Y - they might have some classes or play dates to go to. Also, google nearby play centers or things to do with kids. I did that last summer and found a learning play center in the city (about 40 minutes away) that has constructive educational play and I can take DS for $9 (I get in free) and he can climb, jump, run, build, and play all day. There might be some girls on here that are from around your area - maybe narrow down more where you live? Good luck!

I know what you mean!! I have been trying to figure out things to do with my 21month old. We live in a small town in Texas. There is NOTHING in my area. No museums, no YMCA, etc. Even our library stopped having story time. I am about to start teaching Kindermusik at my church, so that will be something twice a week for us to do. I just want something more. There is just so many times I can walk him to the park. I've been driving to the closest big town which is 30 minutes away to let him play at the mall play area where there are soft toys (and kids his age) but with gas as high as it is...and only to go up. I'm stumped. Hopefully there will be ideas to come that I can use too!
