My 2 1/2 year old still doesn't cover up. She won't let me put a blanket on her. I know my oldest started using covers around 20 months. I always worry that she gets chilly. I try to keep the temperature just right in her room. I know, I'm too anal.

My 3 yr. old DD is the opposite. She has the sheet from her bed over her, one baby blanket over her arms and one over her eyes. She only recently developed the arms and eyes habit in the past 4 months or so. It is so funny! She has always been a blanky lover.

My 2 yr old always wants to be covered before we leave the room...she won't go to sleep if we don't! But she is never covered up in the morning so not sure if she can actually cover herself back up if she needs to at night! I usually do keep her in long sleeve pj's and pants...the air is typically on in the summer so I don't want her getting too cold.
All of my kids are very different...my 8yr old covers up to his neck like I do, my 5 yr old will only cover with her sheet and leaves one leg sticking out (like my husband) and then the 2 yr old covered at bed but not in the morning! I am always cold so I am always asking my 5 yr old to cover up and she keeps telling me she isn't cold!! I have to remember we are all different!!

The boys don't mind being covered when they go to bed, but they often kick the covers off in the night. I don't worry about it because they know how to re-cover themselves.

Is she still in the crib? My ds never used covers until he went into a big bed, then he started covering up like the rest of us.

My DS sleeps with 2 blankets on. He has to have both on or he won't fall asleep. It's not good for summer time. He wakes up sweaty and gross.

My 8 year old LOVES the weight of his comforter. My 2 year old always is kicking off even her sheet.
