journel with dd before bedtime! It has really turned out nice. I just ask her about her day and write down what she says, I even ask her some questions that change from week to week like "what do you want to be", "what is your fav book" that sort of stuff

she really looks forward to bed now! and we'll have some nice memories!

I think that is a wonderful idea, too.

However, my child is usually too tired to focus on something like that at bedtime. She might like it earlier in the day!

I LOVE this idea!! WOW, so neat. And that is going to be something so cool to look back on one day. I love sentimental stuff like that. I have started a journal for DS in which I write things, but when he gets a little older (he's not quite two yet) I hope I will remember this idea!!!
