DD is the youngest of 4 and the only girl. She's seen the boys go to the bathroom standing up and must think that's the way it's done. This evening I caught her in the bathroom, holding up her dress and leaning her body toward the toilet like the boys do . I am thrilled that she has decided to take the initiative to potty train but the other part of me is worried that she's going to decide she only wants to pee standing up.

my dd did this when we were potty training her. she would pee all over the floor, never actually making it into the toilet i just started taking her into the bathroom with me and she would use the potty chair and me on the toilet. it worked out. good luck!

I think little girls figure out pretty quickly that doesn't work well! But I've seen a couple other little girls do that as well. A friend of ours watched her daughter pee on a tree one day outside. She had been playing with some little boys the day before.
