My little one is a big chicken with the pool. She has let her sisters hold her in the pool here, but immediately starts saying, I want out. She always begs me to go to the pool, but she sits on the steps, or on the egde with her feet in. So I hover above her making sure she doesn't fall in. I would take her in myself, but I haven't found that perfect suit yet. Yesterday we went to sil house, and she gets her suit on, asks to swim, but to her, that still just means sitting on the edge with her feet in, or walking on the deck watching everyone. I think she let someone carry her in once, and demanding to be let back out. So all day at least one adult would be sitting out on the deck watching. Mostly hubby, uncle, big brother, or grandpa.
So when we left, ds says to dh, did you tell her what dd did? I said, what did she do. DH tells me that dd threw a pair diving goggles in the water, and dh said don't throw things in the pool if you are not big enough to get them out. He barely got the last word out, and she jumped right in the pool. It is over her head, so he grabbed her out. I asked if she cried, and he said no, she got made at him and said "Daddy that was too deep, why did you tell me to jump in?"
