Sometimes I feel like the worst mommy in the world. My kids have both had summer colds so we took the baby off milk until the coughing got some better. He would cough until he threw up the milk and was just giving him juice at bedtime.
Well on Sunday I bought some milk and Nesquik syrup because he just wouldn't hardly take his juice. Last night at bedtime I gave the baby his cup of brown milk and immediately my 3 yo. who has never drank milk said I want milk too and I told him no and gave him juice as usual. That was 8:40.
At 9:40 I had done everything under the sun to get my 3 yo. to go to sleep to no avail. Finally I got him his cup with chocolate milk and immediately he drank 3 big gulps and fell asleep.
I should have just gave it to him at 8:40 instead of fighting him another hour.

Don't you just love them. They have little minds of their own and will change them on a whim. lol

Shhhh...here's a secret....Trader Joes has an ORGANIC chocolate syrup, like the Hershey's one...that has none of that NASTY high fructose corn syrup. Of course, I NEVER buy it...

Not bad mommy! Hey we all make mistakes! Last week I did something dumb and I actually said, "bad mommy" and ds, 6.5, said,

"NOT bad mommy!" I felt so good

I have to see if I can find a trader joe's store. Most of the stuff I buy is sugar free. I get sugar free cookies, ice cream, diet drinks, diet punch mix and stuff but I do have a box of Little Debbies smores hidden on the top shelve in my cabinets. Shhh, don't tell!!!!!

My youngest will not drink milk unless there is some type of flavoring in it. She hates plain milk and I spoke with her doctor about this and he said as long as she drinks it she will be fine. Don't be too hard on yourself.
