My 5-year old son still wets the bed every night. We've been buying disposable training pants for him to wear at bedtime but they are just too expensive & they are getting to where they don't fit him right anymore. Does anyone use washable ones and if so, what brand is the best?

As far as I know, the washable training pants won't hold him over night if he is still wetting. Many parents have the kid wear washable training pants during the day and a diaper at night. In our case, I knew DD was ready for toilet training because she was regularly dry during the night.

How about just using those overnight diapers for bigger kids? Ive seen them in the store for kids up to 100 lbs.

I agree. Ds is 6.5 and has NEVER been dry at night, ok I take that back, maybe twice! Even when we started to withhold liquids (which I hated) he always wet. He was extremely hard to potty train, so I'm just happy he's clean and dry through the day and don't make a big deal about the night.

Anyway, he wears the small size GoodNites. You can get them at BJ's, 40 to a case for $20.00'; if you sign up on their website they routinely send us $1 coupons that you can sign up up to 5 or 6 additional people and they will get them too (email). BJ's will let you use up to 5 coupons on a product, so you can get them for $15 for 40! I'd be hard pressed to find a better deal.

Good luck!

I could've written this post except my dd is only five years old. She has always had a full diaper at night but does well during the day.

I've been getting the underjams for my 3 and a half year old. They just came out from Pampers and they have been great. I ran out of them night before last so last night I puta regular pull up on him (Mommy is so broke till tomorrow) and now I am washing sheets. 2 sets, his and then mine where he got into my bed when his was wet.

Though I appreciate your suggestions, the point is I can't afford to buy pull-ups anymore. I have a 7-month old that I already have to buy diapers for. That's bad enough. I was just hoping that someone had tried one of the brands of washable bedtime pants out there and really liked one over the other. Thank you all anyway though!

I used to see them advertised in the "One Step Ahead" catalog...I don't get it anymore and I don't have small kids anymore, but maybe they still carry them?
