so after realizing my oldest son only has a few weeks until school starts(aug 13th) i decided it is time to really start pumping ds up for pre-k he is a little nervous. he starts after labor day... still can't get him to want to ride the bus lol... when does pre school start for you?

My dd goes to a little orientation with me on Sept. 9th and then starts Sept. 11th on her own.

We started pre-school TODAY!!!! Our local school district has a year round education program at just one the of schools. The rest of the schools are the traditional school year.

We want to send our ds to the year round program. The pre-school that we chose is not affiliated with the school district, but this year for the first time they have started a year round pre-school program/schedule. They follow the same schedule as the year round students.

Initially, back in February, when we signed up we were not able to get in to the year round pre-school. It was full and we were quite a ways down on the waiting list. Well, this past Sunday evening we got a phone call from the pre-school that said they just had a family back out and we were next on the waiting list. The kicker was that the "meet the teachers/orientation" was the following night, this past Monday. We had to make a decision quickly.

So orientation was Monday night and he started today. He was really looking forward to it so that made it much easier. Thank goodness I had just gotten the kids' hair cut last week and had also done a little bit of school shopping.
