well i've come to the realization that ds can't button pants he just pulls them down lol(good thing he's a bean pole) and he can snap only certain pants so we are gonna need to work on that before fall since i don't like just pull on pants lol(he would not care its a mom hang up). otherwise he dresses himself totally..

Nope...my 4 year old DS can't do either...so elastic it is!

She can do buttons on jeans, but I don't think she has any clothes with snaps so I don't know about that one.

The girls don't like pants, much less pants with buttons or snaps. When they wear pants or shorts, they have an elastic waist.

My 5yo still has trouble with some buttons (as does my 7yo). Usually because the button hole is quite tight. I just enlarge them slightly with my seam ripper & this seems to help. Snaps ~ not a problem.
