We have a metal one, but we also live fairly close to the school playground and 2 small parks. My parents bought it for them. If they had not I doubt we would have. They do use it but my 7 yr old really is even getting to big for it!

We have a wooden one that all the family went in together for oldest dd 1st birthday. We figured at one, she wouldn't care how many presents or what she got. We've used it a lot since. We put infant/toddler swings on it so we could use it right away. My girls love to swing.

NO! I so wish we did. Although we live close to a park, sometimes it is just a pain to get three kids ready, loaded up, etc. But our front yard is not big enough and our back yard is too goofy. It isnt fenced (not our house so we are not gonna pay to put up a fence. The swing set area would HAVE to be fenced in since about 100 yards from the back door we have a river so it would be too dangerous not to have it fenced in. I know my boys would have a ball on their own swing set too.

No, we've never had one although at our old house we had a tree house with a slide attached. When we moved, we never got one because we didn't have a good space to put one - the backyard is small, on a ravine and gets pretty buggy in the summer. We do have a swing in a big tree and a sandbox. Now that our kids are a little older (8 and 4) we figure we wouldn't get many more years out of it. Now, we're considering building them a playhouse or "fort" in the ravine instead.
