How many people have swingsets or opted out of getting one?

We only live 2 blocks in either direction from a church, park, and a school which all have playgroud equipment so we decided not to spend money on a swingset.

We don't have one. We live in a small enough town all of the parks are nearby. And I don't think we would have room for one, lol.

Sigh....I wish we did. It's down on DH's list of priorities, which I strongly feel is a mistake. His take is that we can use the park, but it's just not the same. The problem is that they are so expensive, as the undersurface would be (we don't have a lot of grass in our backyard...something I should also have fought more for...but at least I got some! However, the kid's climber/slide is sitting on it.)

We do. We live too far from a park. We got one of the wooden ones from CostCo from a friend. They bought it and then two months later had to move. So she gave it to us for a great price.

we have one of those wooden ones that you get the kits at menards and build yourself.. our inlaws paid for half for oldest ds's 4th b-day.. it has been so great the kids love it and use it daily but still love to go up to the city park for variety and fun as well.. but i can say we have really gotten great use out of it...

We had a really nice metal one for years, but we left it at our old house when we moved. Here there was a smaller wooden one, but we took it down since my kids are getting bigger. We went with a pool instead.

We also have a large wooden one.. We live in the country to far to go everyday to the park. But we do go to a park at least once a week. Honestly as a kid I spent most of my time on the swingset.. My girls are out there everyday. They play for hours..

On Saturday they pretended they were on funniest home videos.. It was so funny to see their stunts..

We have a large wooden one with a fort. It was a joint birthday present for our kids when our DD2 turned 1, so we kept that in mind on the cost of it. My kids love it and so do their friends who come over to play.

we do have parks close by but it is nice to let them loose in the yard
(my kids would be outside all day everyday if they could so I feel lets have the fun outside for them I think its good for there motor skills and now that they are older and can be in our yard with out my direct eye I can get things done inside the house

We have the Little Tikes Endless Adventures swing set. It has 3 swings, a slide, a sand and water area and little fort at the top of the slide. We've had it about 4 years and it still looks brand new, the kids play on it everyday. Its one of the best purchases we've ever made.
