I made a big deal about the "special" wipes - use the flushable ones. Your plumbing might not appreciate baby wipes getting flushed.

My 3 and 5 use them. With the 1 year old, I can't always help and they do a really good job. I'm guessing if they weren't doing well at preschool, I would notice at laundry time - yuck!

My son turned 4 in June and would wipe by himself, but he can't reach very well (he's short and his little arms just can't reach well...) so I keep wiping for him. I kinda freak out that he could get some poopy on his hands and then touch my sink or walls or toilet seat... I let my older son wipe by himself at this age, but he could reach better I think. I know, I know... I just need to let him do it himself and get over my heebie jeebie germ fears. lol Maybe I will work on that this week... I sure would love being off poop duty.

My dd is 4 1/2 , the ony way I could get her to wipe herself was to simply refuse to help her. It was a long couple of days but well worth it becuase she started wipeing herslef with no problems in only two or three days .
