I'm shocked by that because our preschool was VERY picky about bringing sweets for snacks. They wanted muffins or rice cakes for birthdays.

Saying "no" often makes you a GOOD parent.

I agree with Cookie!
I also think the school puts parents in a bad posistion with this, I think icecream daily at school is a bit much. maybe 1 time a week or month even better but daily. I def would voice my opinion if I were you.

I realize that it will make me a good parent, in my eyes, but for now in dd's eyes I am sure I will be the bad guy. too bad....

I think that's excessive as well. You're right....what are they going to do for special occasions? However, my DH says he doesn't see anything wrong with it and that it's a treat.....goes to show how we differ in opinions.

It is excessive. I would be right there with you - maybe ice cream once per week. I wonder if it is a fundraiser or something. I would voice my opinion.

I would def. say something. That is too much.

How cute would it be for the school to set up a "fruit stand" type thing and the kids can go and buy their fruit of choice. I think that would excite them and possibly inspire them to eat a little more healthy.
Fruit is sweet enough... No one needs ice cream every day.

I think it is ridiculous! My parents used to stop at McD's everyday after school with my kids so they could get an ice cream cone..... the results=cavities, cavities, cavities for both of them.
