My 19 month old DS will not stay in his crib.. he climbs out over and over. Till i give in at let him crash where ever.. i know this is bad, but mamas got to sleep. Any advice on what to do? Do i get a toddler bed? I am at my wits ends over this "stage".

get a toddler bed "for BIG BOYS!!! Then wear his little butt out real good and make a big deal about that new bed!
Have a few nights also with lots of good sleepy foods, Like TURKEY!! banana's also have tryptiphan in them so it is a treat, but it is also sleepy food! Also, hot tea time with Mom or Dad, get the sleepy time tea, when he is doing all of these things with you, helping like the big boy he is now with a big boy bed and all, the excitement will wear his little butt out too!!!
Good luck,
Mommy

It sounds like it's time for a big boy bed. If you are concerned about containing him, put a baby gate in his doorway. It will take some time, but he'll start going to sleep in his big boy bed. My ds still falls asleep on the floor or train table occasionally

the same thing happened to us with DS. we got him a toddler bed and he took to it immediately! he didn't want to be caged in - he slept a LOT better in that toddler bed than in the crib. if you need to get him used to the bed gently, then let him take his naps in the toddler bed for a couple days and then switch him to the bed at night. best of luck to ya! hope you get some rest!!!

Good luck. I am fighting the same battle with my 2 year old. She has a toddler bed but only needs five hours of sleep. No naps and she runs everywhere. If you find the off switch send it to me.
