Yes, 6.5....almost 7. I never kept up with months when I was pregnant w/ds1. Everything doctor related was in weeks. So when someone asked me how many months I was, I would say "My doctor goes by weeks, and I'm almost 18 weeks pregnant" Let them figure it out in months if they want to! LOL

Well you can't really exactly convert wks to months because if you only count 4 wks per month then you're actually pregnant 10 months!!! instead of 9 (since it's 40 wks). So if you do the math :

26.5 weeks out of 40 weeks
is to X months out of 9 months
so 26.5 times 9=238.5
divide by 40 weeks= 5.96 months

So basically you're 6 "months"

Another perhaps easier way of looking at the math is that a trimester (or three of the 9 months) is 1/3 of the 40 wks or 13.3 wks. So again, your 26.5 is about 26.6 wks or two trimester....in other words 6 months.

But you probably didn't want to do math so early in the morning did you?!?

So just look at it as you're 2/3 of the way there, so 6 months!!!

I go by weeks when I talk to my girlfriends but one of my neighbors asked me how many months I was and I went blank! Then, I thought about it too much and confused myself. I sound totally blond! LOL Oh well.

THANKS! This is what was confusing me. I couldn't figure out how to "convert" the weeks into months. I know the two don't jive but it was hurting my brain to think of the actual math! Thanks again

Math was always my VERY favorite subject in school. I've lost most of my skills since all I do is convert percentages off when shopping now but I can still do a few things. It was actually fun to use the old algebra brain here!!
