So I am thinking about starting to stockpile some diapers now - I haven't found any great deals yet (I have coupons though)!
How many of each size do suggest to get a minimum before the baby arrives? I think I am going to go with the Pampers Swaddlers. (I was 7lbs 8oz and my husband was 8lbs 3oz, so hopefully she will be somewhere in that range)

I agree on the little divided formula holder. And the swing! And now, that he's moving, his jumperoo, walker and playpen!

I agree with the baby bjorn completely. i had a cheap one from target with ny ds and I never used it, my neighbor suggested that I get a baby bjorn withdd and it is the best money I ever spent, she loves it and I can get stuff done.

Also, we chose a theme for ds room (Minnesota Gophers) and it will be great for when he is older, but now he constantly asks for a buzz light year room, I guess what I would have done is not wallpaper and just buy a few accessories to give him the room he want, but that can easily be changed.

I also regret the high chair, barely used it with ds, when he was a year I got him a booster seat and used it all the time. i got a fisher price healthy care booster seat for dd and that is what she will use when she starts eating. i kept the high chair for now, but I am sure it will just sit in the basement.

Also regret all the toys. dh took ds to his mothers for two days and I have thrown or donated sooooooooo many toys. So many he never played with. I have also decided that my nephew will be getting either a savings bond or if they have them a gift certificate for a gymboree class for his birthday. I am no longer contributing to others toy overload.

Must Haves:

Travel baby swing--Avery slept in this many many many times and we could bring it everywhere

Podee Bottle (hands-free feeding system) see it HERE or HERE

Clean Shopper (Shopping Cart Cover) not only keeps the germs away from your kiddo but also keeps them from sitting in a wet seat should all the carts be wet from rain. Also has two side pockets for food/drink and it's own seatbelt. You can throw the whole thing in the wash.

Baby Bjorn frontpack carrier

Johnny Jump Up

Boppy Pillow - great for nursing and for putting around baby when they start to sit up on their own

Medela Pump-in-Style dual electric breast pump

Waste of $:

Diaper Pail

Ear Thermometer (babies ear canals are usually not big enough for the commercially sold ear thermometers)

Baby Wipes Warmer - dried out the wipes

I agree with the whole coordinating expensive bedding sets, we bought an extremely expensive Mickey Mouse set, the comforter just hangs on the wall and the bumper pads were only used for months, go with a something cheap and cute knowing that you wont be using it long anyway.

I love the play mobile things that you lay on the floor and things dangle over the baby and make noise (not sure what they are called) my son layed under there for hours looking at everything. I also loved my Boppy!!!
