What is on your check list for the arrival of a new baby? You know things to get done, things to buy, stuff to stock up on, and such. Not just baby things...but everything for the house and such too.

I started having contractions again despite my medicine and injections. So we're looking into preparing for baby #2 a bit sooner then expected. So rather then waiting until little one decides he's ready to come out (whenever that may be)...I want to get our lists ready. I'm so not ready for him yet...so lists make me feel a bit better.

I frantically tried to get all of my home projects finished before DD got here. For example, I was in the middle of painting and re-decorating a guest bath, I wanted the house pressure washed, carpets cleaned, etc.

BTW - Good luck! I hope you can hold off for a bit longer. How far is their (the docs) goal?

39 weeks! I'm going on 26 weeks now. And I've been having contractions since around 13 weeks. They stopped for a few weeks when I got the injections...but are now back with revenge! I'm so done with pain...lol. But thoughts of a sweet little one always make it better.

I liked to make sure I had lots of the basics in the house. For example- TP,paper towels, shampoo- things that you run out of quickly.

I also liked to have a few meals made and frozen. Makes life so much easier esp. when you already have a baby. Not having to cook when you are tired.

Good luck

I am planning to deep clean the house, including floorboards, cleaning the fridge etc. Also, make a meal or two for the freezer, and some cookie dough balls.

We need to buy: baby shampoo, pants, carseat, and I'm going to make a carseat cover and a sheet for the playpen bassinet. Also, I have to make our Halloween costumes before baby arrives.
