Does anyone have anything to share on the topic? I went in Thursday with contractions and was released Sunday with contractions! My cervix is dilated to a 1+ but stayed that way through the weekend so we figured I may as well go home and monitor myself. I am having contractions anywhere from 10 min. to 2 min. apart. They sent me home with Nifedipine to take at my discretion.

One weird thing is it feels like my breasts are starting to make milk, like when your milk lets down. That makes me nervous because I'm thinking my body knows something I don't and is getting ready to give birth! Anyone else had this happen? Maybe its the different meds I was on all weekend....

Now it's just waiting to see what might happen. I wish I knew if I will make it closer to term or if this baby is coming way too early.

BTW, DD #3 was born at 35 weeks.

there are a couple of ladies on here who can help with the pre term labor...

I don't think the milk thing is too much to worry about, both my girls I got loads of colstrum at 25 weeks, where it would leave a leak mark on my shirt... and this baby too. And my breasts feel like they are heavier preparing for milk.

I wouldn't hesitate to call and go in when ever you feel like you need to, that's what their there for and your babe needs to cook a bit longer!

Rest and drink lots, pee lots too.

Take care!

Thanks for your advice! I never had any boob issues before this pregnancy so I was worried but it's good to hear.

Don't worry about the colustrum (sp?) being there...I've had mine this entire pregnancy. I've had contractions since 14 weeks. The contractions don't mean that the baby is coming for sure anytime soon. It could just be that you have them early...like I do. (not always the case...but there are alot of women out there who do) The dialating part is what leads to preterm labor. I went into preterm labor twice at 32 weeks...but they were able to stop it both times...and I delivered at 39 weeks by c-section. The most annoying part is going to be having to go to the labor and delivery a billion times. Something I've having to do throughout this entire pregnancy. But it's to make sure the little one stays healthy! Rumor has it the 100th time you go in they give you a free mug . haha.

The water advice is the best yet! I drink around 4-5 sets of 32ounces (a ton right?) of it a day...and most of the time my contractions won't effect me taking care of our toddler. Also make sure you rest as much as possible! And listen to what your doctor says. Hang in there girly!! And try not to worry too much!
