If so, what were you most popular tunes?
DD loves it when we sing to her. Her favorites are:
Jesus Loves Me
Tomorrow
You Are My Sunshine
This is the Day
Barbara Manatee
With what songs did your kiddos like to be serenaded?

Yes, I did but at the time Garth Brooks was popular and I would put in the CD and sing along to him even before he was born. By time he was born he was so used to the songs that it was an easy way to put him to sleep. That is why I can not figure out how he can now as a teenager listen to rap, or why he really loves Johnny Cash.

she likes twinkle little star, cows in the kitchen, itsy bitsy spider, 5 little monkeys.
Not really bedtime songs, but in the car songs that I have to endure singing over and over LOL

I sing complete nonsense songs I sing to her when I get her up, and then when we play together, just complete random nonsense. For some reason she likes it :D

He LOVES ABCs it's by far his favorite! We're not a huge fan of children music...so we make up silly songs and he dances to them. He's also a big fan of jazz and swing music. When he had colic it was the only thing that would calm him down.

Aythen LOVES The Elmo song. So I sing him that when he's upset or just to get a smile.
Also, when he was super fussy, I'd sing a song I like to call "Aythen boy", and I would just make it up as I go, and he'd calm down and just listen.
Otherwise, I sing to the radio in the car and he likes that too!

I sing to both of my children all the time. My voice is HORRIBLE, but they don't seem to care. If they are upset, they immediately calm down when I sing.
Their favorites are:
Jesus loves me
ABCs
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Old McDonald
If You're Happy and You Know It
I also make songs and rhymes out of anything that I want to teach them. They have learned most basic concepts this way.

I did, but not what most people would consider children's songs.
I rocked her and sang her to sleep with John Lennon's "Imagine," Dire Straits' "Why Worry," and Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight."
She and I danced around the house to Escape Club's "Wild Wild West" and Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll." To this day, if she and I are in the car together and AC/DC's "You Shook Me" or Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell" comes on the radio, she cranks it and we both sing it at the top of our lungs, and if a cover band plays "Old Time Rock and Roll" at a festival, SHE grabs MY hand and pulls me out on the dance floor with her.
