Rebecca never took one, and so far Jacob won't either.

I didn't want to use one with DD. We got some of them as gifts @ my shower and decided maybe we'd try them, but they dog saved me from it~ she stole them all Our nurse in the hospital tried with DS, but he kept pushing it out, so he didn't take one either. After I saw the battle my SIL went thorough to get her almost 4 year old to give them up, I'm glad we didn't.

Neither of mine took them and we offered it to both of them for the first 3 weeks or so. They just weren't interested. Not sure why.

This is my thinking. I am relieved he won't really use one. Taking M's away wasn't as horrible as I thought it'd be, but I get up enough times in the night as it is. I don't want to add "sticking the paci back in".

My oldest never sucked his thumb or used a pacifier. The younger two would take a pacifier for about 20 or 30 minutes at a time when they were really little but stopped after a couple months. They were/are both thumb suckers though (the baby still sucks his thumb, and my middle stopped at about 22 months after he broke his arm. It was not by choice...)

All of mine were preemies and the hospital discouraged us from using them. Once they came home from the hospital, they seemed to have no interest at all. My oldest ds was the only one to suck his thumb and he stopped that around 18 months on his own.

DD didn't take a pacifier. We offered it, but she had never gotten one before we got her and wasn't interested.
