I wouldn't swear that it works, but it may have helped a little, and was better tasting for her than that nasty prescription stuff, where I felt like I was abusing her!

I'd encourage it. I still use it occasionally when she seems her tummy is upset. Wellements is better than Bliss, as far as brands go, because there aren't the additives Bliss has, and the taste is milder. Good luck. I'm sure you know that it does get better, just new challenges.

for those that dont know what it is..

http://www.slumbersounds.com/gripewater.htm

Europeans have used gripe water for over a century to sooth baby distress due to gas, colic, stomach cramps, and teething.

However, gripe water isn't widely known in the United States. And that's a shame: this formula relieves some colicky babies in 5-20 minutes!

Baby's Bliss™ is a safe, all-natural liquid. It contains ginger, fennel, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), fructose, and deionized water.

Baby's Bliss™ is given by dropper, either just prior to feeding or afterwards, if your baby appears to be distressed by hiccups, colic, stomach cramps, gas or teething.

Take 2 cups of water and bring to boil
add 1 bay leaf and steep 2 minutes;
remove bayleaf and cool water
Place water into bottle and give to baby-
may add caro syrup-

recipe from my MIL who is off the boat Italian
and yes it worked for all my kids and yes me too

I always made it as needed; never kept bottle 24 hours or longer

we used gripe water with both my kids and all my friends use it. its very common here and very cheap to buy. just make sure you buy the alcohol free kind and make sure it smells like black licorice not dill.
